Manager – Strategic Analysis
Role Purpose: The role focuses on monitoring regional and global developments across public policy, geopolitics, and socioeconomic trends, and producing concise, well-reasoned analytical outputs for internal use. This is not an academic or content-focused role. It requires analytical judgment, structured thinking, and the ability to work under time constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Research & Monitoring

  • Track regional and international developments relevant to public policy, geopolitics, and socioeconomic issues
  • Review material from credible media, policy platforms, research publications, and public data
  • sources Analysis & Synthesis
  • Consolidate information from multiple sources into clear themes and insights
  • Identify patterns, risks, and implications relevant to organizational priorities
  • Present analysis in a structured and accessible manner

Analytical Writing

  • Prepare concise internal outputs, including but not limited to Briefing notes, Summaries, Background documents, Analytical reports
  • Communicate complex issues clearly for non-technical audiences

Research Tools & Methods

  • Use modern research platforms and analytical tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Support evidence-based analysis through cross-checking and validation of sources

Required Competencies

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Clear, structured writing ability
  • Ability to synthesize information from diverse sources
  • Comfort working with large volumes of information
  • Professional judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently under time pressure

Education & Experience

18 years of education (MS/MPhil only) in International Relations with specialization in Strategic Studies, Peace & Conflict Studies, Political Economy, Government & Public Policy or Journalism / Mass Communication

 

3–5 years of professional experience in
  • Research institutes or think tanks
  • Media or policy research roles
  • Consulting or analytical roles
  • Policy-focused corporate environments

OR
Candidates from other academic backgrounds may be considered with 5–7 years of relevant research or analytical experience in policy-facing environments.
